Scott Kelby es un fotógrafo estadounidense (nacido el 7 de julio de 1960 en Lakeland, Florida, vive en Tampa) autor y editor de libros y revistas que se ocupan de la fotografía y el software de Adobe Photoshop, para profesionales del diseño, fotógrafos y artistas.

Biografía
Scott Kelby fue músico (al teclado y a la guitarra) hasta los 32 años. Allí conoció a su mujer, que era la solista del grupo y que tiene una voz increíble. Aún tocan un par de veces al año durante el Photoshop World con su banda Big Electric Cat. Su hermano mayor, Jeff, se metió en la fotografía y cuando Scott vio las imágenes tan buenas que lograba cuando tocaban en los clubs le picó el gusanillo también a él.
Poco a poco dejó la música y se especializó en fotografía deportiva (su sueño era ser el propietario de un club de rugby americano, pero se conformó con fotografiar a los jugadores desde el foso). Posteriormente casi abandona la fotografía por los problemas propios de la analógica y abrazó la nueva fotografía digital, convirtiéndose en uno de los mayores divulgadores y formadores de ésta y de los programas de edición de Adobe.
Scott Kelby es editor de Photoshop User Magazine, presidente y cofundador de la Asociación Nacional de Profesionales de Photoshop (NAPP) y presidente de Kelby Media Group, una empresa de formación, educación y publicación de software.
Es un fotógrafo, diseñador y autor de más de 60 libros, como la serie The Digital Photography Book, The Photoshop Book for Digital Photographers, Professional Portrait Retouching Techniques for Photographers, Light it, Shoot it, Retouch it, The Lightroom Book for Digital Photographers y The iPhone Book, que se han traducido a decenas de idiomas. Los años 2010, 11 y 12 ha sido nombrado el autor más vendido de libros sobre fotografía por el Nielsen BookScan.
Kelby es director de formación del Adobe Photoshop Seminar Tour y participa en el Photoshop World Conference & Expo. Ha realizado una serie de clases de formación en línea y en DVDs de Photoshop y ha formado a usuarios de Photoshop desde 1993. Además de muchas otras actividades de formación y divulgación, en 2007 creó Kelbytraining.com para ofertar su material de capacitación en línea y en 2008, comenzó sus Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk.
